Vista DSM™ is a process driven installation sequence that eliminates as many construction hindrances as possible. Construction of the Vista DSM™ footing will be exactly the same as similar wall designs because the same engineering principals are applied. This is necessary as design load requirements will need to be met for all walls including poured-in-place concrete walls and concrete masonry unit walls. The difference lies in the stem construction as Vista DSM™ is built with a non-mortar block unit. This process serves many functions from aesthetics, to construction costs, to design flexibility. Focusing on installation, this block system allows for greater construction speeds and lower labor cost utilization. Placement of alignment pins in the Vista DSM™ block unit allow for stability and adjustment in the construction process. No grid requirement will maximize property line restrictions and eliminate utilities interference. Reduction in equipment costs and construction footprint zones will also appear as viable benefits for both contractor and owner.
