Vista DSM™ has many of the same visual characteristics of architectural split face masonry block walls. Standard colors for the system are natural gray, red, and tan, but just about any architectural masonry color is possible. As the brochure illustrates, architectural color bands and patterns are often used. In addition, a number of capping methods are available ranging from simply smoothing the grout on top of the units to the double reveal illustrated on some of the brochure photos. Pilasters are not required for the Vista DSM™ system because the system’s strength is from vertical reinforcement embedded into the footing. The pilasters shown in the brochure are purely to achieve the desired architectural effect and many different options are available with pilaster designs.
